It’s a great time to work with film; equipment is cheaper than ever. Lots of equipment once out of the reach of artists is now becoming available. And there are new games to play with this newly liberated gear.
More importantly, the age of the internet has made it easier than ever to get hold of items like the LOMO processing tank, which enables you to process films at home. There are lots of ways to process your own film, and home processing is easier than you would think. By processing your own films, you can cut the cost of using film in half, making real experimentation possible.
