Filmmaker & Programmer PADDY HAY in person
Iris Film Collective is very pleased to be co-presenting—with Emily Carr University and Cineworks—a selection of recent and very recent artist film works produced by members of the Artist Film Workshop (AFW) lab, located in Melbourne, Australia.
Australian filmmaker and programmer Paddy Hay will be present for the screening to introduce and answer questions.
The program reflects the diversity of interests, methodologies, and technologies available to AFW filmmakers: contact printing, optical printing, DIY cameras, and sometimes no cameras at all. The films step into and outside of traditions across abstraction, archival/found footage, audio/vision, and lo-fi documentary.
All works presented on 16mm.
